  1. I resent to be forced to choose between only two candidates when you talk about controlling the lives of so many people. The power and money involved are way beyond what we can imagine. Anyway, just to kick the white supremacy image deeply set in US of A, I'd go with Obama. When a government goes beyond the circle of a family, it's already too big and uncontrollable! ( That's my husband thought and I agree! )

  2. Obama - McCain is a fascist creep.

  3. why go for McCain because he was in the military that is what i cannot figure. Military men do not make good leaders of nations really it is my experience. Ask yourself has ex military officers done any good running countries in Africa over the last few decades. Lets look at the record. of just one of them. Nation has  terrible infrastructure yet his widow has over seven hundred million in banks in Switzerland.

I am not saying McCain is going to be corrupt like the generals that have robbed the people of Africa, Asia, Middle east, south America for the last century. I just don't think that having worn a military uniform makes you better qualified to run a modern nation. May have worked in centuries past but today the record shows that it is a failed notion.

I would go for Obama myself, I just think the guy has ideas that are good, McCain may have good ideas but I do think he is just scary.

  4. If I was American I would vote for McCain because he comes first in alphabetical order.

If I wanted to see an end to Republicans cashing in on war, and desired some hope for peace on this planet before it's too late, I would vote for any Democrat.

The world should never forget the way the poor of New Orleans were maltreated after the floods etc by their own (Republican) Government.  No way would Obama allow that to happen.

  5. McCain.

  6. Obama

  7. McCain . regardless of his politics

  8. Obama - only because it's time for a black president. I know that sounds very superficial but if he wins this time maybe next time a woman will have half a chance.

    McCain just is too 'Bushy'.

  9. I would not vote for either of them.  But especially not for McCain.

  10. Interesting question if we could in an American Election I would vote for Barack Obama mainly because I like and I like his policies and as a Labour supporter and I come from a family of Labour voters we have always voted Labour and always although I have been tempted away to vote Liberal Democrat. The Democratic party in the States is the sister party to the Labour party in the UK. Though I have to say that the Republican party in the States makes our own Conservative party look liberal George Bush conservatism puts Maggie Thatcher in the shade.

I personally don't trust John McCain I think if he got in nothing would change and all of Bush's policies would be carried forward just under another name.

  11. mccain

a true patriot to his nation, also is the right religion (christian)

  12. What's the point? Whoever you vote for, Obama, McCain or whoever, will somehow manage to f*ck things up once they're president anyway! They all look really good during the recruiment stage, don't they... but once they're hired, that's another story altogether!

  13. Obama, he wants out of Iraq and maybe he could convince whichever knobend is running Britain by then since we seem to be America's very own sheep.

  14. im american but if i was old enough i would vote for mccain

    obama is a horrible person

    search some videos on him

    its horrible

  15. Obama.  McCain is too old and it's not always the case that there's a wise head on old shoulders.  Obama is full of the vigour of youth and America is a young country - so my vote [if I had one] would be for the young Obama against the old McC.

Just don't blame me when your taxes go up!

  16. Obama.

  17. Obama is, in my mind, CLEARLY more logical, intelligent and pragmatic - he reminds me of Tony Blair. McCain reminds me of Bush.

Obama clearly has genuine motives and his justification of everything is logical and rational. McCain, OK, he earns respect because he's a War Vet - but in my mind that means he loses perspective. Fighting in a war and running a country are two very different things, and to come into one on the back of another will inevitably have a detrimental effect on his judgement. On top of that, he isn't logical, he can't articulate, I don't agree with his policies, he seems unintelligent, and I just don't trust him!

McCain embodies all that is bad about power in America - politics within politicians - it's not what you stand for, what you say, your policies or if you'd make a good president, it's who you know - the only reason why people such as himself and Bush can ever be elected. Obama represents an intelligent, logical, reasonable, compassionate candidate with immense integrity. He is exactly the type of man you should want in charge of your country.

If you've learned anything from Bush, let it be that war is not always the answer - and ask yourself if McCain agrees with that?

  18. I would definitely vote Obama - I want an end to Repugnicans in the White House - look what Bush has done in the last 8 years.  America was in the black when Clinton left office and now they are deep in the red.  Definitely Obama!!

EDIT - what kind of idiot would vote for a politician 'regardless of his politics'??

  19. McCain

  20. Neither.

  21. Well, - it's difficult, isn't it, -for us Brits I mean.

If we say "Obama" you Americans would vote for McCain becus you object to us interfering in your affairs!

And if we say "McCain" you'd vote Democrat, just to spite us!

So, in the absence of your beautiful, fragrant, heavenly Secretary of State on the ballot paper, we must sadly hide our opinions, and decline to answer, pleading the Fifth Amendment!

Oh, and PS !! Just to make it absolutely clear about four years' time, We'd view the prospect of an even older Old Woman Democrat  candidate with more disgust than this time 'round.

PPS. I guess you've no idea what your Answers User-name means here in England??? !!! It might be prudent to Google it and find out...?.. !!! SUN- KISSED WHAT?? UGH!

  22. Neither, .............. Ralph Nader

McCain alleged War Veteran? yes he is a Vet and also a Vietcong Collaborator!

  23. I'd abstain...  but if I had to I'd probably pick Obama because of his stance on Iraq.  McCain did make me laugh yesterday with his comment "I know how to win wars".  Isn't he a Vietnam veteran....

  24. Obama for life!!

  25. If I was an American, I'd be marching on congress demanding democracy.  The choice between two rich clones of the system is no choice.

  26. I'm an American and I vote for Barack Obama. I'm not a big fan of Republicans.
