Im not long ago an uncle but i want to join the british army, royal regiment of scotland.

iv looked on the site and says minimum contract of 4 years. Now if im in the army for 4 years will i ever be able to come out and see how my family are doing or just need to stay in until the 4years are over basically.

I know you get a visit 2 weeks in basic training and then as far as i know you need to do the other 26 weeks.

Any answers appreciated

Cheers.
