British citizen can fly in the Uk without passport or ID?

Hi people,

Is it possible that someone who is a British citizen can fly all over the United Kingdom without a passport or ID?

  1. i could not find a legal answer for your question..

    the only thing i read was that the airlines could actually give problems on boarding the plane without a passport ,for security ......

    also read an article ,when you drive , you need a driving licence , and to fly , a passport .....

    i would imagine that you would NOT need a passport within your own country .......it is the law ? i do not know .........

    i know in the US , i never needed one ...

    nor in Europe .so it must be okay in the UK too ......

    some sort of id ? more than likely ......

  2. Well you should have some ID that proves that you are a Britisher and the best ID is your passport.

    You should ask your government if there is another way to prove your nationality besides your passport.

    Airports are usually quite strict about identification.

  4. England, Scotland, and Wales, yes.

    Ireland, no.

  5. I'm pretty sure you do need one.
