What is the procedure for a british citizen to live in Canada and Australia?

  2. Australia has a points system, if you get enough points you get permanent residency, if you are just short you can get on a "maybe" list. You get basic points for things like speaking English, being young, etc. and you get big points for things like in demand professions. Google it.

    If you don't have enough points but are desperate then there is a cheeky way. New Zealand has less strict requirements, so you get New Zealand residency and citizenship then move to Australia because all Kiwis are allowed to live and work in Aus.

    I don't know about Canada.
