I am filling Form AN to get British citizenship and have an appointment on Saturday. Regarding evidence of five year lawful residence, at the end the form says to provide:

Your passport OR Letters of employment etc ...

So I have not bothered about the letters. However, now when i read the guidance note (separate booklet), it says :

• Your passports OR say why you are unable to provide one on page 13 and supply

• Letters from employers, educational establishments or other Government Departments indicating the applicant’s presence in the United Kingdom during

the relevant period OR ....

Now I am confused and panicky. Do I need to get those letters or not ? I will find it difficult to get them in such a hurry ....

Please advise me !
