British coach Joann Hughes presides training session in Malta – Badminton news
The British badminton coach Joann Hughes supervised a training course in Malta. The session was planned to equip the local sports coaches with the latest coaching techniques of era.
The event was arranged by Badminton Malta while the Badminton World Federation and the Badminton Europe Confederation joined hands for this purpose.
The Badminton World Federation and Badminton Europe Confederation have also a joint master plan to promote badminton and to elevate the coaching standards of this game in the schools. This event was part of their strategy.
The two days training course was inaugurated by the KMS Chief Executive Officer Gino Schiavone. The response on the opening day was overwhelming as the Cottonera Sports Complex was filled with a decent crowd of local sports teachers and official coaches
of Badminton Malta.
The audience was thrilled to learn modern coaching techniques and the British guru Joann Hughes filled their thirst by giving lectures on various aspects of the game. The coach equipped the members of the training session with technical and tactical knowledge.
The BM officials looked satisfied with the standards of prime coaching session, which Hughes offered to the local coaches and sports teachers, and the BM valued this genuine effort of help by showing their gratitude.
The British coach earned a great deal of respect in the badminton cult of Malta and the audience praised his in-depth knowledge of the game.
This is the first time ever that The Badminton World Federation and Badminton Europe Confederation have offered such kind of training course and to hold it in an under-privileged country like Malta reflects their sincere intentions to promote the game.
The Badminton Malta appreciated this initiative of BWF and BEC while the role of KMS to make this event successful was also applauded.
The Badminton Malta is on the right track to endorse the badminton culture in the country by taking it to the grassroots level and nourishing the good coaches will definitely bring good results in the future.
The BWF and BEC are planning to expand their movement by taking it to the other countries where badminton has not grasped the masses yet.
