  11. Italian food over rated? I dont think so...if only you learn to eat the proper one and not the fake one you will  understand what i mean....the fakes are horrible and far miles from the real...

and by the way italian food is not only pasta or pizza as some ignorants could think...there s a lot of meat/fish in thousand way and we do stew as well, cakes......personally i dont like spaghetti much and less of all spaghetti bolognaise which is a horrible fake stuff.....is not an italian dish...you cant judge as you even never eat some real italian stuff ....some british food taste nice pity it takes a week to get ridd of that in the stomach...

ps. mortadella, salame felino, salsiccia stagionata, mozzarella fresca, burrata, parmigiano reggiano, risotti (rice dishes), zuppa di legumi, zuppa di pesce (brodetto), tortellini, passatelli, orecchiette, strozzapreti, cappelletti, ravioli, tagliatelle with eggs or greens, lasagne, ragu bolognese or ragu with steaks, every kind of pasta baked with meatballs, stewed beef with potato and vegetables, all kind of fish and seafood, capitone, pastiera, caponata....and lots more..i would need a book just make sure the ingredients are original and well done

  13. Take a look in your city.  Count the British eaterys, then count the Italian ones.

Let the nunmbers be the answer.

  14. British ...just because I like the Beatles!  are you hungry???!!!???

  15. I love italian food, but then I like a good roast dinner too.

  16. GOOD HOME COOKED BRITISH FOOD IS BETTER

  17. Real Italian food is exceptional - the problem is it is hard to find. I remember having to visit an Italian restaurant owner in the course of my work. It was in Liverpool. We concluded our business and I started chatting and asked him if his menu was authentic. He confided in me with a grin that it wasn't - he served what he called Scouse Italian. He claimed that real Italian was not to the British taste and would be too expensive in any case. I think his real motive was an easy life with the maximum of profit. Try to source the real thing - its worth it.

  18. Definitely Italian but there are some good English dishes as well, roast beef one of them

  19. italian all the way!!!!!.. although i do enjoy heinz beans...

  20. This is definately a hard one, mate. Well, what does your spouse or signifacant other, seem to like? You could decide from there. But if you want something that is family like and promotes a nice, cozy, evening, then british is the best choice. But if you're planning to have a good bit of wine and a hearty, jazzy, evening, then Italian is your best option.

  21. I like either. But I really love the garlic bread.

  22. Italian of course. In the last decades has been the most popular worldwide. But you can't truly appreciate the full detph of Italian food unless you go to Italy and eat in the proper places. What you see in Britain is only a pale reflection of the real thing and sometimes an insult to true Italian for this reason the latter has been termed Britalian.  British cuisine was almost totally lost and forgotten during and after the war and during that period suffered a lot from American influence and fast food. Up to the early eighties it only consisted of very few dishes and even some of the best like Lancshire Hotpot or steak and kidney pudding were not easy to find. But it has recently been revived and improved and once again it can rank as a good cuisine.  There is nowadays a cuisine called Modern British that is very good and improving all the time.

  23. I thought I already told you Indian!

  24. No contest, Italian every time...           : x )

  25. British, cant beat a beef dinner with Yorkie-had it tonight-, fish and chips etc!

  26. Italian. I'm actually half English and half Italian but food-wise...Definitely Italian.

  27. British!

Italian food is the most over rated in the world.

Six ingrediants in about 30 different combinations...none of them tasting of anything in particular!

Ohhh...plus some cheese that tastes like a peasants foot.

  28. italian dude! *:)* oh and to the guy who answered before me ... if the cheese tastes like a peasants foot well how do u know wat the foot tastes like... or do u have a really weird diet!
