  1. Elizabeth II is Queen of the United Kingdom, which consists of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. She is "Queen of England", however, it is incorrect to address Her Majesty as "Queen of England", since this title has been extincted since the last holder Queen Anne of England, who later became "Queen Anne of Great Britain."

Before the 18th century, England, Scotland and Ireland were three separate countries, and the English monarchs were sovereign to each country. However, under Queen Anne, she united them as one nation (except Ireland) as "Great Britain", therefore her title of "Queen of England and Scotland" became "Queen of Great Britain." Finally in the 19th century, Ireland became apart of "Great Britain", therefore, renamed itself again as "The United Kingdom."

  2. If you are doing work about England and you don't know whether her Majesty is still on the Throne or Not, you are not going to get any decent  marks. Get to the books and  study.

  3. yeah, Queen Elizabeth is still alive, hence, still the Queen.  As Jules pointed out, we Americans like to refer to her as "the Queen of England", but there, she is officially known as the "Queen of Great Britain".

Art:  you can google, say the Tate Gallery, and look for art by British names.  As for music, you probably have all the information to download music...Modern greats include: the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, etc., (well, okay, classic rock n roll).  And Classical would include Handel, and, sorry, that's all I come up with off the top of my head.  Search whatever keywords you think will work for you.  I find the stuff I find along the way almost as interesting as what I was originally looking for.
