British national lottery online promo prog, random selection.wininning £956,420.00. based in london.?

Question

Have received an email stating that my email has been randomly selected to win £956,420.00 plus gifts, have to send details like dob,address,name,phone number etc. and that their affiliated courier ics courier services will deliver the prizes. both companies are based in the london area and the email is from a Sir Smith K Lloyd. has anyone heard of this before. am I right in thinking this is a scam.

This is most definately a scam.  I get at least one of these a day.  Do NOT send any personal info.  Just delete it.
