What slang do you use? What words are common where you live and what do they mean? I'm getting old now and need to understand this stuff for a paper I'm writing!

  1. In liverpool we use:

    'Boss' - meaning like good/wicked

    'Proper' - Very

    'Dead' - very

    eg 'Thats Proper Boss' - Thats very good!

  5. Don't get involeveddd with the slangg thing! I did and my english markss went from A's to D's!!!!! Just because i simply forgot how to spell, puncuation etc. trust me you may think your cool, but you have to work harder later on.

    Heres some, cause I dislike them.

    Init meaning Isn't It?

    Buff meaning Good Looking, fit.

    Peng meaning HOT.

    Sick meaning Something good, which is weird because it's sick. "Oh thats SICK"

    Bun meaning Ugly.

    Bungun meaning hit by the bun gun, ugliness.

    Skeen meaning Okay.

    Anyway, all them words get on my nerves, and they are seriously chavvy and annoying. -.-

  8. Round our way in Peterborough we use 'proper' instead of 'very' a lot.

    We also use 'beast' in many contexts ie;

    'I just beasted that maths exam' (I think I have done very well on the maths exam)

    'Beast! you got the new iPhone' (Wow! You got the new iPhone)

    'I just saw a sixth former beast some little kid' (I just saw a sixth former beat up a year 7)

    We also use the usual stuff like 'cool', 'sick', 'tight', etc.

    b = referring to a friend/ s**y girl

    fam = similar to homie

    fo sho = for sure/yes/ for real

    shawty = s**y female

    Jokes = funny    e.g that's jokes----------that's funny

    owned/pwned = to be made a fool of

    safe = cool/good/nice/thanks   e.g. He is safe = he's cool

    here's your drink--------safe mate = thanks mate

    cheng,peng,choong=good looks or to describe something you like.

    blud=mate

    alie=agree

    bare=alot

    Sodomite - means L*****n

  19. It really depends on what type of teenager you are writing about - male, female, rich, poor, and what area of London. I will say that noone ever, ever says snog, its usually "I got with Steve last night" or "Steve's well fit, I well wanna get with him".
