Other Brits don't grumble about the fact that our Royal Family has both a substantial amount of Greek and German blood in them?

You'd think traditional monarchists would be disgruntled, wouldn't you?

Not complaining though!

  1. the fact that we allow them to persist is what really gets my goat.  which of us english are truly english anyway.  the royal scum are a self-appointed european "elite".

  2. I don't think the monarchy has been British since 1066 and maybe not even then.  Should royalist care?  I am not would prefer not to pay tax for the royal family.  Oh and despite having mixed blood Philip is still a racist git!

  3. well i'm a brit and to be honest i couldn't give give a toss either way. greek, german, pakistani...whatever, they still need getting rid of. they live in such opulence while the true workers of this crappy little island get called 'commoners' i'd like to see any of their ilk do an honest days work. then she has the cheek to come on the telly and deliver a speech on xmas day. stupid cow! REVOLUTION! OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!

  4. Why would 'traditional monarchists' be disgruntled by it? European royal families/houses have been interbreeding for hundreds of years.

  5. Consider this----We got the mix just right, eh?

  6. This is normal the monarchs of England have been foreigners since 1066 ad

  7. I like the Royals, despite what country their ancestors were from.

    God save our Graciuos Queen,

    Long Live Our noble Queen,

    Send her victorious...

    Ok, i'll stop now...

  8. No one likes to admit that to themselves its like a nation in denial.

  9. i think some people have an issue with it but at this time i don't think it politically correct to have a distain for people with blood from another country.

  10. h**l of alot of brits have german blood in them too. (anglo-saxons)

  11. There are no Britons in existence today that are pure British. Most of the British are a mix on Anglo-Saxon (German blood), Norman blood, and Celtic blood. I assume when you are talking about Greek blood that you mean Prince Philip. Prince Philip originally had Greek royal titles, but his heritage is almost completely Danish and German. He has very little Byzantine Greek blood in him from his paternal grandfather, King George I of Greece.

Nobody today is pure anything because of all of the mixing that has occurred over thousands of years, except for maybe the Native Americans in America and the Aborigines in Australia, for example.

  12. the whole monarchy system in britain is a obselete dinosaur, and should be decommissioned

  13. Do you know any brits that have pure brit blood ? I dont think so.  We all got a bit of this or that in us.  Irish, Welsh, Scotch, French. You name it, we are mixed with it.

  14. what can i say,you are spot on.

  15. i don't care if our queen comes from the planet zogg(have i spelled zogg right)?  i still love her,i even saw her once as she passed through my old town of immingham at the age of  about 5 with my brother and mum,we were waving the union jack like crazy and she has this way of making you feel as though she looked right at you,the whole world loves our queen, there is no other like her,the only people that ever came close to being loved so much by our people was princess diana and the queen mother, all nations are proud but isn't it great to have been born British, they have bound together all of the british isles(UK) and helped to bind most of europe together as one with wars or conflict almost none existant...our country has a rich collection of peoples from everywhere and they are pleased to be here and called british

  16. Since royal families frequently wedded off to other countries royal families; I'd be surprised if the British royal family was not far more diverse than that...

  17. we are a multi thingy nation

  18. yes I agree.  I've never quite understood why most citizens are happy to accept someone who not British as head of state.

  19. That has been the case for hundreds of years.....I don't think anyone Monarchist or otherwise suggested that the Royal Family were of 100% English blood....unless they didn't know anything about English History.

  20. their heritage is no different to any other brit,we are all of mixed blood.from german to turk to french etc,you name it and we have it,

  21. love the royal family alot, i collect everything with their face on it, watched their family functions, i.e. weddings, i was in london for princess diana funeral, so sad i cried buckets. i listen with great interest in what they do, The Queen now has her own website, yes at 81, she has opened the doors to the 21st, century and allowing us all to find out about their working life, private, life their interests, and the history of the past,

Prince Charles, when at home at highgrove, works hard, to encourage animals, birds, rare plants to flourish,

does it matter what blood lineage they are from, they are still our royal family, im not true british in my blood, ive irish scottish ancestory,

i am a royalist, always will be, and i really dont care about what ancestors they have descended from they are still our Royal family, and we are one of a few, who have such, for i am not seeing much success for those countries, who dont have one, only dispair, riots, civil anarcy, which proves having presidents ruling a country doesnt work, it hasnt changed thier countries, there was poverty when russia had a tzar, still poverty today, same in france, and india,

So God Save The Queen, God Bless Her, Long May She Reign.

  22. to grumble would be to admit one's own lack of pedigree
