Brits, besides hot dogs and hamburgers..?

Question

what foods come to mind when you hear some saying they are eating American food???

pizza (i know this is wrong, but pizza is also a staple in the US),

pretzel (ditto),

mac n cheese,

coke (as in coca cola coke),

PB & J sandwiches.

1) For a dinner, thickly cut T bone or porterhouse steak,  cooked outside on the barbecue and served with baked potatoes slathered with butter

2) Again, for a dinner, jumbo shrimp, (hard to find in the UK.). Jumbo shrimp again barbecued. Try the jumbo shrimp and red pepper on a skewer.  

2) For lunch, over stuffed sandwiches as opposed to 2 ounces of filling. Double the filling, whether egg salad, or ham or roast beef. Add lettuce and tomatoes. If the sandwich is about three inches thick, it looks American. They also feel it's authentic American if you use a baguette or long Italian loaf cut into good size serving, t rather than thin sliced loaf bread.

3) Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, hardly company fare except as tea sandhiches.

Meatloaf! Sorry that's the only thing I can think that isn't fast food. Also maybe italian style food like spaghetti and meatballs. Ive been to the US a few times and the last time I was there in Chicago we only ate out a few times but had steak, chinese food and hamburgers!
