Belize, Central America, live in the jungle there it's all eco now and the people speak English, literacy is about 96% and rate of exchange about $5 BH to £1GB

The problem would be that virtually all other countries would follow suit pretty quickly, providing they don't beat us to it (down the crapper) first!

Better the "devil you know". At least you know where to turn in Britain compared with other countries.

A very difficult question in the world as it is now.

Before majority rule, I would have said South Africa without any hesitation but nowadays, after China and Russia the English speaking countries top the charts for surveillance, regulation and control.

Australia was a great country but the Rudd government may well send it in the same direction as poor old blighty.

New Zealand offers some potential but unlike the Australians, New Zealanders are not the easiest people to get along with.

Maybe I would give up alcohol, stop admiring beautiful women in the street, struggle with Farsi and move to Iran.

Another challenging but high risk strategy would be a move to Southern Rhodesia ( I believe it's called Zimbabwe now). When the Mugabe government is finally ousted, there will be potential for those prepared to make the necessary effort to rebuild the country.

As to the second part of your question; if I knew the answer, I would be there now.
