Brittany Lang needs victories to add shine to her profile
American Brittany Lang, who played a much better game at the US Women’s Open 2012, needs to add more shine to her profile that presently boasts only one victory.
Lang is best known for her solid putting skills and swing, but she has been making efforts to dispel concerns over her performance.
The American star rose to fame when she racked up here first LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) title at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic in June 2012. She flattened her nearest rivals Hee Kyung Seo, Inbee Park and Chella Choi in playoff, as she posted an overall 268.  
Analysts said that despite getting off to a stunning start, Lang has not been able to fully control her nerve, as she sometimes let it overcome her and falters on the course.  
Lang appears to have adopted a new strategy to improve her game, which was reflected in her performance at the US Women’s Open 2012.
The 26-year-old golfer kicked off the major tournament in an amazing style, as she made tremendous strokes on most of the holes. The tournament was held at Kohler, which shows that the pressure on her must have been immense, as the local crowd wanted all the national players to trample their indomitable Asian rivals.
Although rattled by the performances of Asian players, who completely blocked American rivals from moving up on the leaderboard, Lang managed to hold her nerve and played a natural game.
Golf commentators said that the rising star stood out in the roster, as she was one of the American stars who did not let the pressure derail them.
Now, with the Evian Masters set to be staged from July 26-29, in France, the LPGA professional needs to focus on improving her game and fixing some fatal flaws in her swing and putting.
Analysts said that the Lang turned professional in 2005, which means that she should now eye more victories in order to disprove her critics’ claims regarding her slumping career.
The 2011 season was also very momentous for her, as she stunned fans at the Women’s British Open. She finished second on the leaderboard — something analysts said gave her much-needed confidence.
