Brittany Lang set to face rivals at Prattville

American Brittany Lang’s performance at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic 2012 was a solid one in that it ended with a triumph, but the star golfer still has plenty of work to do if she wants to continue
surprising her fans.
With the Navistar LPGA Classic set to be staged from September 20-23 at Prattville, Alabama, Lang is going to have another golden opportunity to prove her mettle. However, the looming battle at Prattville will
not be an easy one, due largely to the presence of most of the top-ranked Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) stars.
Lang kicked off the current season in impressive style as she was determined to give a tough time to her rivals right from the start. She took part in the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic 2012 with plenty of
enthusiasm and kept all the contenders in trouble till the final round.
The match at Manulife Financial LPGA Classic was tougher than most of the contenders had anticipated, but Lang kept her cool and stood her ground against players far stronger than her.
It didn't take long for the LPGA phenom to face off against her battle-hardened Asian counterparts. Not only did Lang outplay players like South Koreans Hee Kyung Seo, Inbee Park and Chella Choi and make her
skills known in women’s golf, but she also played a big part in putting Americans in the spotlight once again.
Observers said that Lang will have to play a bit more carefully in the Navistar LPGA Classic as the roster is going to feature big names like the current world number one Yani Tseng and defending champion Lexi
Thompson of the United States.
Other key contenders set to tee off the tournament on Thursday include Stacy Lewis, Natalie Gulbis, Michelle Wie, Brittany Lincicome, Sandra Gal, Katy Harris, Vicky Hurst, Maria Hjorth, Morgan Pressel, Azahara
Munoz, Alena Sharp, Katherine Hull, Angela Oh, Jane Park, So Yeon Ryu, Jin Young Pak and Suzann Pettersen of Norway.
Observers said there are some players who are likely to steal the show, although the roster is featuring most of the top-50 players.
They pointed out that Lexi Thompson is going to get plenty of support from the crowd, which will help her put pressure on her rivals.
