Swansea City midfielder, Leon Britton believes that his club won’t find a decentjyu28 replacement for Joe Allen, should the Welsh footballer decides to part ways with the Swans to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
The 22-year old, who is currently a part of the Great Britain squad for the ongoing Olympic Games, has been strongly linked to making a switch to Anfield this summer, after the Merseyside outfit unearthed their interest in the talented midfielder.
Earlier, Swansea spurned a 10 million pounds transfer offer from the Reds for Allen. The Welsh club are reportedly determined not let go of him, and are adamant that Liverpool does not have a legal right of making overtures for the player, given the compensatory
deal signed by Brendan Rodgers at the time of his move from the Liberty Stadium to Anfield.
Keeping in view Allen’s massive impact at Swansea, which helped the club secure an impressive eleventh place finish during their debut Premier League campaign, Britton indicated that he will be thoroughly disappointed if his proposed move to Liverpool goes
ahead.
However, the English International indicated that even if Allen decided on joining the Merseyside club, he won’t hold that as something against him, as not many players would turn down an offer to play for Liverpool.
While talking to reporters, he said: “We would be disappointed if Joe goes. That goes for the players, the staff and the fans. But you can’t begrudge him the move if it happens. We would have to wish him http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Good-Luck-c39444. We hope he will stick with us, but it would
be a great opportunity for him if he ends up going.”
The 29-year old then went on to express his laudation for the midfielder’s hunger to improve, and tipped him to become one of the top players in the Premier League in future.
He added, “Joe has got great maturity for his age… I am sure he can go on and have a top career in the Premier League for many years.”
According to some reports, given if Liverpool and Swansea fail to reach to an agreement over the player’s transfer, the former will then seek to trigger the 15 million pounds release clause in his current contract.
