Swansea City midfielder, Leon Britton, has claimed that his side are better prepared to take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this time around.
The South http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 outfit were hammered 4-0 by the Eastlanders on last season’s opening day, following their admission to the English top-flight.
However, the veteran play-maker pointed out that his side have come a long way since their drubbing by the current title holders, and they will be in a much better frame of mind as they seek an unlikely upset at the weekend.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup’s men will square off against the Citizens in an away match on Saturday.
The Welsh outfit may have taken a real beating at the Etihad during the last season, but they managed to stun the blue Manchester team 1-0 at their own citadel back in March.
Britton, who has capped more than 400 appearances for the Swans, was confident there won’t be a repeat of what happened during their last visit of Eastlands.
Instead, the English International said that his side are now better aware of what to expect from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini’s unit on Saturday and will be fancying their chances of inflicting a shock defeat at the hosts.
“Last year was a strange experience because it was our first day,” he is reported to have said.
“But now we’ve had that first full season in the Premier, played a lot of games and made us much more aware of what’s needed to be better prepared mentally.”

“Back then most of us hadn’t played a minute at this level, but now none of us will be going there wondering what it’s going to be like… Now we know – but we have to put it to good use.”
The midfielder further said that their outing at the weekend will prove to be an invaluable experience for them as they look to survive in the Premier League, but admitted it will be their toughest task yet this season.
The Swans have mustered 11 points from their 8 league games so far. The will go into the game on Saturday high on confidence after recording a 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic last week.
