For nearly 5 months, I have been trying to move to a new IPS as my supplier from whom I have had a long amicable relationship was sold to a supplier who failed to provide appropriate services. Apparently I have to obtain the Migration Code from the exisint supplier to hand over to any new supplier and the exisiting supplier has failed to provide this code despite my repeated request for it. and the service has been getting worse and worse. The original instal service provided was running at 7.4MBps and 8.0MbPs while I hardly now get anything above 3.7, and mostly at 1.1Pbps.

Can anyone suggest any steps I can legally take to force this supplier to send me Migration code or I c an just close by cancelling the Direct Debit order if I can find another supplier without supplying a migration code?

  1. its the law they must supply you with the code if they don't you will contact trading standerds that should move them canceling your direct debit will cause you more problems they will just keep sending a bill out which will keep going up they will still be incontrol of your line until you get that code
