Broad takes eight for Nottinghamshire ahead of Pakistan Tests
In what England will be hoping is a portent of things to come when they take on Pakistan in a four-Test series this summer, Stuart Broad has secured an eight-wicket haul playing for Nottinghamshire in the County Championship.
The seamer finished with the impressive figures of 8-52 as his side dismissed Warwickshire for an even 100 in their second innings of the Division One match, leaving Notts just 24-runs adrift of their total heading into the final innings of the match, which they duly wrapped up without the loss of a wicket in their second innings.
Broad, who finished with 11 wickets for the match, wasn’t the only England Test player warming up for the series against Pakistan at Edgbaston, with the 24-year-old also joined by off-spinner Graeme Swann (who took 2-88 in the first innings but did not bowl in the second) and Ryan Sidebottom (1-81 and 0-14) in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warwickshire-c862.
And with Broad responsible for Trott’s dismissal in both innings there can be little doubt the Cape Town-born player will be much happier to team up with the paceman rather than face off against him when the Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 begins on July 29th.
