  1. You probably have overhanging cables or you are a long way from the central. The connection is not what you pay for. Often rubbish. Only hope that in a few years the provider have sorted there problems out.

If you call up to complain you call overseas and help is rubbish.

So live with it. Sorry have had same problems for years.

  2. A cordless phone next to your Wireless-G modem may well cause interference with your wireless Internet connection.

Biggest problem is when cordless phone is 2.4 GHz phone and using 2.4 GHz Wireless-G router.

Best option is to use 5.8 GHz or 1.9 GHz DECT-6 phone.

And, always keep cordless phones as far away from wireless router and adapter as practical to eliminate potential interference issues.

  3. Depends on who your ISP is sometimes they have a setting at there end to terminate if your connection is idle for so long,or you may need to check the properties in your connection and alter if need be,Good luck.

  4. As a matter of interest what router do you have? ISP?

You could be having a configuration issue so might be worth checking on your hub what channel it is showing.

Do you open the utility when it happens to see if the router is trying to connect to a different router?

  5. There may be many reasons your connection is cutting out.

    1~~Your mate may  be correct

2~~You may  have contracted a virus "back door  virus"~that happened to a computer of mine 4  years ago.

3~~There may  be "overloading "in the area you reside in?

4-~~Your computer might  be giving up the ghost?

5~Possible solutions?~download "free AVG"~anti virus  programme & scan your hard drives!

    6~~next download "AVAST"~antiviral programme ~scan your machine

7~~you may not have adequate ram for the programs you run??

cheers try these B4 taking the machine to a technician!

  6. have you got your router plugged into a filter? its a little white adapter that plugs into your phone socket

  7. no its not supposed to, when i got my internet i was advised from the company to have a cordless phone.
