Broadband downloading speed

Question

I'n thinking of getting my own internet connection, however, I don't really understand what all the 'downloading speed' and 'usage allowance' is about. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the average upload speed, usage allowance and download speed is for a frequent internet user. I don't really care about how much i use and i know its probably the case of 'the higher the better' but i just wanted to know what most people have. Thanks.

i am on airtel

the average downloading speed for me is 9kb/s

and according to my plan(550 monthly) i have unlimited usage and unlimited download

pretty broad question, but you need to double check WEP,  WPA, vs. WPA2, Passkey versus password, if you used password try passkey

I am on DSL

Down averages about 5000, up about 550.  I pay about $25/month.
