Broadway, all musicals??

Are all broadway plays musicals? I was watching the Tony awards and wondering if you have to have a voice to perform on Broadway, unless there are some that are just PLAYS. tHANKS!

  1. It doesn't hurt to have a "voice" on Broadway.  There are some very serious plays that have absolutely no songs.  There are some very serious plays that do have songs.  It all depends.

    The three threats:  singing, dancing, acting - this will get you on Broadway somehow, somewhere, someday.

    It did for John Travolta and hundreds others.


  2. No - they are not all musicals. There are lots that are just straight plays / theatre.

  3. Yes, some are just plays.  Not all are musicals.
