Broadway Musicals?

Question

I need to choose a song from a Broadway Musical for an upcoming production. I am an alto with a large range of vocal ability. I was thinking of choosing the song, "Love You I Do" by Jennifer Hudson. The problem is I didn't find that song on any of the original broadway performance recordings.So here's my question(s):

1. Although the song was added for the movies sake, does it still count as a broadway song.?

and

2. Do you have any other ideas for a Broadway song [other than the one's from DreamGirls] that can show my range??

I no longer make specific recommendations for songs for people I don't know, because it's just a waste of my time.  I don't know how ANYONE on Answers can tell YOU what to sing..  all they can tell you is what THEY like.. not what YOU like.

What I WILL suggest is... look at www.sheetmusicplus.com they have the world's largest music library and they have a excellent section on BROADWAY music and you should easily find something you like out of the thousands of songs they have listed there.
