Brock Lesnar charged for killing a deer – UFC News
American mixed martial art (MMA) fighter Brock Lesnar has landed himself in trouble ahead of his bout against Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 on December 30, 2011. According to reports, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion has been
charged on accounts of hunting down a deer. Reports came in on December 16, 2011.
The MMA fighter who is currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was blamed by the officials of the Canadian wildlife for killing a mule deer buck in the southern parts of Alberta, Canada. According to reports
which came in from various sources, Lesnar and his team of hunters are being charged with more than one assault.
His hunting guide has also come under scrutiny from the wildlife authorities. According to the officials, Lesnar has his hunting guide has been charged with improper tagging, illegal possession of wildlife and leaving the meat
in the open to rot, which spreads germs and creates an unhygienic environment.
The 34-year-old MMA fighter is set to fight against Alistair Overeem on December 30, 2011 at UFC 141. It is interesting to note that Lesnar’s opponent, Overeem, also came under scrutiny when he missed a drug test and was later
given a special license to fight at UFC 141.
The former UFC champion, Lesnar, is not only rebellious inside the UFC ring but he also showed his aggressive side when he was absent from the hearing he was scheduled to be part of regarding the event. He had to be present at
the Medicine Hat provincial court where the hearing of his illegal deer shooting was to take place.
For the past few months Lesnar had been ill. He had an ailment in his lower intestine which also kept him away from the UFC and MMA rings. At UFC 141, MMA critics say that his bout against Overeem would be one of the biggest crowd
puller in recent memories. MMA and UFC fans are eager to watch Overeem fight against Lesnar, as much hype has been created ahead of their bout. UFC fans would want to see Overeem pound his way to a win while Lesnar’s fans would want to see him winning by a
knockout or a submission.
