Question:

Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir(to end all discussion)

Well tonight watching UFC we started talking about that fight. Everyone started yelling about how that call was c**p. Although the call might have been a bad one...thats besides the point; Brock Lesnar lost because Frank Mir got him in a footlock. It might not have happened if the fight was never stopped...but still, the footlock is what beat him. And he deserved to lose because of it. So enough complaining about that call. If you treat the stoppage like it was the beginning of a new round, Lesnar loses to his lack of submission knowledge. Thank you. Any ****** comments you can cram up your you know what.

  1. stupid question from stupid people. it never seems to fail. you proved how idiotic you are by posting a question like this with false facts. Mir submitted Lesnor with knee bar. then you said that Herring never wrestled. Which he did. Heath also has submission wins.

Do I think Lesnor is great? no. Do I think he has the potential to be?yes. Does beating the c**p out of a very dangerous very seasoned opponent mean a lot? yes.

why don't you learn some grammar too. Inside your edit to David you put clearer. It should be "more clear".

What do you expect from a guy in his third MMA match against a well rounded world class fighter like Herring.

edit: hahaha. bad day? This has been a great day. Me and my friends have been having fun and watching the UFC. Stop hating on Lesnor and let him evolve. He is going to. He did show some holes in his striking tonight. give the guy a chance.

  2. The inability to finish a guy you had hurt badly from the opening round tells it all.  Herring is a tough dude..he's had some world class beatings and wins as well.  But he was simply overpowered and nothing more.  There will be far tougher tests ahead but the heavy weight division is weak in competition compared to others.  Anybody think he could get by with that performance against Nogueria who has an even tougher chin and out of this world jits?

It will be a moot point when Kongo lays a shin across that big head or neck.

  3. brock just destroyed heath herring

  4. Huh ?  Frank Mir ?  That was months ago.....

In Lesnars second UFC fight,  yes his second,  he defeated one of the top tier guys in UFC, he beat the c**p out of Herring.

A great showing in a second UFC fight.  If he continues to learn the skills, he will be very dangerous.

  5. First off, Lesnar tapped in his fight with Mir. It wasn't a ref stoppage.

Secondly, to suggest that Herring isn't a good fighter is idiotic. Herring is definitely world class.

Lesnar is definitely shaping up to be a force in the heavyweight division. I don't disagree that perhaps the hype surrounding him right now is a bit premature, but I think ultimately, he will live up to the hype. I do believe that in the forseeable future, Lesnar will hold the heavyweight title.

He has a superb background with impeccable combat sports experience. Let's not forget this was only his 3rd mma fight and he dominated a world class competitor with a great deal of experience.

Once Lesnar gets some more Ju Jitsu experience, he will be an extraordinarily difficult opponent to beat. Athletes that compete at the level that he has competed at his entire life tend to be very coachable. Just as we saw a great deal of improvement in last nights fight against Herring, I think you will continue to see him get better and better with each fight.

Just because someone was once in professional wrestling, doesn't mean that they aren't serious competitors. Let's not forget that both Ken Shamrock and Dan Sorenson were also in professional wrestling.

**************************************... is an edit in response to iceman..........

You should know what you are talking about before you state something as fact. Last night was Lesnar's 3rd mma fight. Not his second as you incorrectly stated. His first fight was against Min Soo Kim on 6/2/07. It was not in the UFC, but unfortunately, so many people, like yourself apparently, think that the only sanctioning body for mma is the UFC. There is mma outside of the UFC. Nimrod.

  6. Calling Heath Herring a bad fighter is a ridiculous statement.  Heath got drilled with a serious right and it just got worse for him from there but a bad fighter he is not.  It was only the third fight for Lesnar so I don't know what else you expected from him.  He still has a lot to learn but is on his way to being a very scary fight for anyone.  The Mir fight happened like I called it, once Lesnar learns sub defense and some subs of his own he will be fine.  My question is, have you ever heard of Heath Herring before he came to the UFC?

Ok, that makes more sense.  I thing there is too much Lesnar hype right now, I was a wrestler in school when he was destroying guys at Minnesota and tried to emulate his wrestling style because he is one of the most dynamic heavyweight wrestlers in history.  People are putting way too much into him though right now, he is still unproven but tonight was a big step in the right direction.
