Brockwell favourite for Liverpool ONE Handicap
Brockwell is expected to continue his good form at Haydock, by winning the Liverpool ONE Handicap in England on Friday, August 10, 2012. He has raced in a couple of more events at this venue and has done well in them. This shows that he likes running here
and will be an ideal candidate for the punters.
The weather is expected to remain dry throughout the day, thus the track will remain good. A total of nine runners will be testing their luck over 1 mile, 3 furlongs and 200 yards and the winner will get a cash prize of £4,205 in the end.
Aazif has managed to get the best odds by the bookies, despite the fact that he does not have a very good record. He has managed to win just once out of five attempts, but will be partnered by veteran jockey, Paul Hanagan, who can guide him to the top at
the end of the day.
However, Brockwell will not make things easy for his opponents, as he is a quality performer. He is carrying the winning momentum right now, thus he has been priced 3 to 1 today. He will definitely attract a lot of bets, as things are looking good for him.
The three-year-old gelding has participated in a total of seven races until now, but has only managed to win once. Although, his strike rate is not on the positive side, yet his performances have been consistent and he has managed to challenge his opponents
for the top three positions regularly.
Out of his two outings at Haydock, the Tom Dascombe’s trainee managed to succeed once whereas finished as a runner up in the other one. This proves that he is quite comfortable at this venue and his confidence level will also be quite high.
Importantly, Brockwell’s victory came in his most recent race, which will give a lot of hope to his fans. He was rated as the favourite in that event and lived up to the expectations of everyone at the end of the day.
Singspiel’s son will once again be partnered by seasoned jockey, Richard Kingscote, who has been accompanying him since the start of his career in 2011.
