Broke my arm 2 days ago

my fingers are tingly and feel like they fell asleep you know like the pins and needles the ortho. said i must have damaged a nerve .... its not numb cuz when he pinched them i felt it. did this happen to any one else?

YES!! Im 13, and Ive broken my arm a few times. For the next week or two, my hand would be completely numb. The best thing to do is keep your arm elevated at all times. When you are sitting/laying down, put a few pillows srtacked beside you, on whatever side the broken arm is, and keep your arm on it. It will make the tingling go away in about a week. Another thing my surgeon said to do was to keep wiggling my fingers every once and a while, or else your hand will fall asleep as well, and this is NOT something you want to happen when it's already numb and tingling. Dont freak out or go and buy medications, because this happens to everyone. I hope you have a waterproof cast, by the way, because keeping my arm covered with a plastic bag in the shower or having to take a bath with my arm above my head the whole time is NOT something to enjoy, hahaa.
