  1. I always used wet paper towel. When you plant it put it in full sun

  2. depends on if you got it from the store or the tree( it will grow if you got it from the tree i don't know about store bought plant it 6in. in fertile soil and water it every week or so until it sprouts

  3. Actually, you aren't suppose to open up the pits.  You are suppose to plant them point up.  What we are getting in the grocery store is probably never going to grow.  Those fruits are picked green and gassed so they will LOOK ripe once they get to the stores.  If it is one you get from a road side stand or an orchard, then it should grow.

  4. Theoretically, yes, it will grow.

My grandmother lived in East Boston (a very urban area) and behind her house there was a peach tree growing, because her neighbor would eat a peach everyday and throw the pit off the balcony--so it IS possible.

I'd recommend starting the pit out in a pot indoors to give it a head start and THEN planting it in your yard.

  5. It may or may not grow. Depends on your area. But, one tree will not produce peach's  without being pollinated by another tree close by.

  6. fuzzy peaches! yum. send me some : )
