Question:

Broken 2.6" LCD screen.best option for repair ?

i left my new Casio Exilim digital camara (mdl ex-z75) out and my young daughter knocked to the floor ,breaking the lcd screen....this isnt covered in the warranty. is my only option to send it to casio for repair or does anyone know if there is another option that might be possible..i dont really want to have to wait till shes old enough to get a job and pay me back...whhhhaat do you mean its my fault, not hers ? jk.....thanks for any help btw the camera still works...just no lcd screen

Hi Leonard.  Sorry about your camera.  The same thing happened to my son who left his camera on the table and the baby pulled it off on the floor... broke the LCD.  Camera is now ready for the garbage.   But .......    It really depends on how much you paid for the camera because the repair is going t be at least 1/2 of the original price.  

    If the camera still works and  you have a viewfinder to look through to frame your image before taking the shot...  just use it like that.  The image is going onto your memory card anyway... and that gets loaded to the computer...  so just use it for as long as its going to work.    One other suggestion... I would get one of those nice padded cases to store the camera in when it is not being used.
