Broken Jaw - No insurance

Question

I frien recently fell and landed on his face with nothing to break the fall while hiking. He has no insurance. Hewent to the emergency room here in Spokane Wa after the pain was too much to handle and they said he broke it in 2 spots. Under the chin area and on the left side upper jaw. He then was sent to an ortho-surgeon and they said 3 options.. (1)plate surgery which was like 7k. (2) wired shut 4k or (3) leave it heal. They want 2k down which he doesnt have. the local CHAS clinic which helps the non-insured turned him down. Basically my question is is there anything he can do to get his jaw wired without having much money down? Any clinics that may help him in the eastern washington area?

Tell your friend to have the proceedure done and then file bankruptcy later.

You can't buy a new jaw, but a bad credit report goes away eventually.
