  1. Hi, An average Toshiba Laptop screen 15.4" will cost anywhere from $450.00 - $700.00 not including installation.  If the Laptop is less than a year old you can contact Toshiba and have it repaired free.  Otherwise buy a new Laptop then either add the hard drive from your current laptop to your new laptop as a second hard drive or copy only the files you need to your new laptop.

  2. I had a Gateway laptop that had beer poured on it, which was turned into the geek squad for a diagnostics checks costing 75$ pluse 35$ for the new wiring. So, in my experience you can go to Best Buy and ask the geek squad to do all the work, they will order a new one, you'll have to pay for the service and time waiting without a laptop, and the price for this service will probably be expensive (150$-200$ range). You can also send your laptop to Toshiba which will probably cost about the same maybe a little less than the geek squad. If it is under warranty you can get it fixed for free but I think you will pay for shipping and handling. Costs can be estimated to be anywhere from 100$ to 200$ in total, but that is just a guess. You can consider selling it on ebay and someone that has the opportunity to fix it would fetch a decent price for it. You can use that money to invest in a new one.

  3. I know where!!!!

    www.nowhere.com

Need to take to a computer/labtop store and have em fix it!

  4. I just replaced the screen on my M55 Toshiba Satellite. The new screen cost $150 plus $12 S&H from LAPTOPSCREEN1 on eBay. They shipped immediately and the screen was an exact replacement.

There are four screws (concealed w/garnish) on the exterior bezel to remove and one internal s***w that secures the inverter to remove. That's it - 5 screws total and a half hour or so of head scratching.

I was quoted $432 for the screen plus $75 labor by an authorized Toshiba repair facility.

    Definitely worth the little effort.
