Question:

Broken Leg - Getting Back In Shape?

Allllright! SO!

I used to be on the school's outdoor track team as a distance runner. Eventually in May I had tendentious, a stress fracture to my fibula, and a torn edma all on my right leg. I had to wear a cast & for six weeks and went to physical therapy over the summer. Meaning, I was not able to do cross country =(

I would like to slowly get back in shape without hurting my leg and be able to run the daily 5 miles that I used to be able to run.

Anybody have any tips for getting back in my runner's shape and staying in shape without further hurting my leg?

  1. You can run in deep water, it will not impact your leg and will help your conditioning.

You can use deep water running to replace your long distance work.
