Broken Nintendo DS Lite Hinge?

I have a red/black Nintendo DS Lite and the right hinge has a small crack in it. The game is still playable and works fine, but the DS is rather irritating as the crack makes the top screen loose and flimsy. Anyway, I was wondering whether Nintendo fixes this for free? And if so, do you still keep the same colour of DS? I've been reading about it, and most people with this problem seem to be happy with the level of assistance they received.

Same thing happend to mine. all i did was take it to game stop and they fixed it but now the top is silver and the bottom is pink!

Yes, Nintendo will fix it for free. Maybe as a compliment you could add 10 bucks in the package and they may attend to it quicker or do a better job but since it's only replacing a little of plastic they should do it for free.
