well, last night i slammed my entire side of my left foot and my left pinky toe VERY hard on my wall. It's all swollen, it's bruised on the bottom of my foot, on my toe, and around my toe, and i have a really big blood blister on the top. The problem is i have my first Football game of the season in two days. should i play? or stay off it for a week or so?

  1. Don't. You'll be limping anyway. This is not worth further injury like the other answer stated.

Tape it (yes, with a piece of scotch tape) to the next toe to stabilize it. (This means wrap the tape around it twice, not too tightly). It should be x-rayed to rule out fracture. Ice, elevation, and motrin right now.

Don't wear tennis shoe on that foot. You should be given "ortho" shoe instead (it's an ugly sandal with a velcro on it).

  2. stay off it, you could damage it even more if you play on it, have you gone to see a doctor? if not you should! Believe me i've had a couple of injuries, i broke my arm and i kept playing even with a cast on at school i then fell on it andit took longer to heal, believe me it's not worth the risk.
