Broken Router - easy or hard?

Hi everyone. So for the past few days the internet in my house is down. My house has 3 computers and only one of them work (because I hooked up the ethernet cable to the modem) and I've deduced that my router doesn't work. As a non-tech savy person I was wondering is it hard to install one? How much does it cost?

  1. You can get one at Wal-Mart or similar store for $50-80.  It is generally pretty simple.  Typically it is just plugging it back in where your old one was located.  If that doesn't work, your ISP will help you.

  2. Installing a router is easy, and it will be even easier for you since you already have a broken one.

Just plug the cable from your modem into the router, and then plug all of the ethernet cables connected to your computers into the router. If you already had a working setup, then it will be no problem for you to get things up a running again with a new router.

    .

  3. Try hold down the the button on the back of the wireless router for 1 min Then wait for it to load up it should reset it back to factory settings
