Broken Super Soaker?

Question

I have a Super Soaker XP270. When I try to pump it, there isn't any pressure, so no water comes out when I pull the trigger. There also is no resistance when I pump the piston. What should I do?

Your seal probably went bad in the pump or fell off.  If you bought the water gun recently it's easiest to return it, but if you can't return it you should take the water gun apart, remove the pump and check out the seal.  If it is broken or missing, that is your problem.  If there's some sort of crack in the plastic preventing a vacuum from being created, you'll have to repair that instead.  I've linked to a bunch of repair pages in my sources so check them out if you need to.
