While Muay Thai training I kicked my partner in the elbow "hard" with my foot. Thought it was just brused, but a week later it still realy hurts when I thouch it. I thougth it was fine because i feel okay to walk and run. Is it easy to break one of those bones on top? I know i need to go to the Dr., but I just wanted to know what anyone one thought about it being broken or not. Meet with trainer tonight...

Thank you.

  1. you need to go to a doctor.  it's extremely easy to break a small bone in your foot, or even to fracture one. it could just be a bruised bone. if you do not want to go to a doctor just make sure to not run on it, just take it easy for a few more days and watch it. if it gets better then it's probably not broken or fractured, and it can probably just heal itself. if in a few days it seems to get worse or stay the same, go to a doctor and see what you should do about it.

  2.   I personally think you have something called a hairline fracture, it is where you crack your bone, and you can still walk on it, for some cases but others you can't.  They can have symthoms of brakes, or sprains.  It varys.  And yes it is easy to brake a foot bone because there are so many and they are small.  Is it swollen I'm guessing?  Discoloration?  Fells like it is really hot, but to the touch either hot or cold?  Does it get numb? Those are sympthoms for brakes.  Same with sprains but in a sprain the foot fells cold to the touch and to you.  For now ice and elevate and STAY OFF OF YOUR FOOT!!!!!!!  Or you could get a serous injury and need surgury to fix it.  Because being on your foot can sometimes cause the bone to shift if broken and if it shifts and heals in the wrong place they put you in surgury to rebrake it then replace the bone.  That is not fun to have!!  Or you may need the bone taken out depending on the severty and wich bone.  So if you know somebody who has crutches or if you do USE THEM!!!!!  I have had multipul injurys and have been to the DR way to many times. Ps you are correct about going in!  Hope this helps and you heal soon!

  3. Absolutely easy to break the bones in your foot, and unfortunately, because the feet take so much abuse in normal walking, it will not heal properly unless it is attended to properly.

  4. if you can run than its probably just a bad bruise. iv had my skate board slam into my shin and it was bruised for a month. even when their wasnt a visible bruise
