Broken glass front panel

Question

I own a Whirlpool GR448LXPQ range. My kid shot a marble through front glass panel of oven door. All inner glass intact and with no cracks. Need to know if possible to just replace outer panel? Is it just decorative in function? And in the interim while waiting for replacement is the oven still functional without it? Getting real tired of stove top suppers. Thank you for your help. Jaime
