  1. The string is worth $1 maximum.

  2. Same thing happen to me,

just go buy somemore strings at the guitar shop

you can fix it your self

or i think you could ask the guy at the guitar shop to show you how

  3. I STRONGLY recommend restringing the guitar with new strings on all 6. Strings run from about 5 to 20 usd per SET.

  4. A complete set of strings costs between $5 and $10.

New strings take a few hours to settle in, and then they sound wonderful -- clear, bright, crisp -- but over time, as they get old, they lose that brightness and clarity and start sounding old and dead; they don't stay in tune as well and they're more apt to break.

This is why you should replace all of the strings on your guitar on a regular basis -- exactly how often depends on how much you play and how acidic the sweat and skin oils on your hands are -- but every couple of months would be reasonable. Its a very easy thing to do by yourself once you learn how.

At this point, since the strings on your guitar are 6 months old, I would just go ahead and replace all of them, not just the one that broke.  Your guitar will sound noticeably better and stay in tune better too.

You can learn how to change strings here:

  5. just buy a new one and put it in its like a few quid, check it on ebay

  6. wth? u mean u never strung ur own guitar? ... anyways it should cost about 5-10  dollars for new strings...
