Question:

Broken little toe???

I think I broke my little toe when I fell doing a handstand. I am in high school so I have to walk around a lot and it REALLY hurts. I can't find any braces that small so is there some way I could make one? Also I do gymnastics so I really don't want it to heal wrong and effect me physically after it has healed.

  1. you sound like a cry baby. Everyone walks all day.  There is nothing that a Doctor can do for a broken toe like the person above me says.  I have three broken toes as we speak and all you can do is tape them together so they don't move so much.  Even if a broken toe grows back a 1/2 inch crooked, how will that effect you physically?  Toughen up!   By the way, I stepped on a dud IED and only lost 2 toes and was back on duty 2 days later.

  2. ask your doctor.

  3. Go out and buy some medical tape. Then tape it to to the toe right next to it. It will hurt for a couple of days. If you need extra support wear tennis shoes. Get better soon!

  4. Nope Im a gymnast and Ive broken my little toes many times. Tape it and deal. thats all i did. it sucks, but what else can u do?

  5. You should try the doctor, he would help you with your toe...

  6. has to be taped to other toe for six weeks if broke get it x rayed

  7. first of all before you read the rest of my answer make sure it is broken by going to your local clinic and getting an x-ray. Normally it will heal on its own just fine but if after a few weeks it has not healed visit your doctor and get a custom made brace.

  8. 1) talk to your gymnastics coach about your concerns

    2) there's nothing you can do for broken little toes, except make them as comfy as possible.

Consider getting some flat open sandals that are too big, and stick out beyond your toes.  The flat will give some support to the toes, and the extended edge will give some protection.  I used birkenstocks.

You can tape your toes together using the same tape you use in gymnastics.  This will give the broken one some support.  Be sure to change the tape at least daily so it doesn't start to smell in the summer heat.

Elevate your foot when you can...put it up on a chair, or empty seat next to you.  It will help with the throbbing pain.  Ice over a pillow case on your foot for 15 minutes every hour will help with the healing.

I know how much toes can hurt...and we never think about them until they do!

  9. go to the doctors
