  1. If you have access to an air rachet or a codrless drill that has a ratchet..then you can try to remove it with a socket  ..

the vibration often loosens what is to tight to undo normally..

An impact wrench may also work....

but if all else fails then a HELI COIL will work...

if the HEX head of the plug is rounded then you may have to drill & EASY OUT the remains of the plug...

make sure you put lots of grease on the drill (this catches all the filings & stops them dropping into the cylinder)..

you can try drilling the plug to 1/16 of the threads & using a screwdriver to lever out the small bit remaining..

the last resort is drill out the old plug to just inside the threads & then retap the hole....

  2. Put a socket on it with a breaker bar and give it a sharp rap on the breaker bar with a hammer.Don't beat on it,just a sharp hit.

  3. Honestly...you realy do sound "screwed", I might try to spray some liquid wrench down in there and let it set over night then try maybe an easy out or something you can get a hold of it with and try to turn it out.

One thing though, you are break stuff in a hole that leads directly to the cylinder...I would DEFINATELY pull that head off now just to be sure nothing has dropped in there...also, if you pull the head and flip it over you maybe able to get the plug out.

Man, that sucks, sorry to hear your bad luck!

  4. Helicoils are NOT recommended for spark plug applications, due to the extra pressure of the compression pushing against the threads.  Typically when the threads are damaged, there a two options, replace the head, or, try to re cut the threads with a "threadchaser" a special tool designed for repairing threads without having to remove the head from the motor.  depending on whether or not you can finish removing the plug from the head, will determine which route you may have to take...

    Good Luck!

  5. A good shop can  put in what is called a tine cert, that maybe spelled wrong but they are made to put in spark plug holes. Call around to shops and find out. They are expensive compared to  helicoils but not to an head.. Shops that build racing motors are familar with these. Matching your thread size might be a problem. Oh and it is best to go ahead and take head off.

  6. you can helicoil a motorcycle plug with no probs just be careful when removing the tang if it drops into the cylinder you'll have to pull the head at a minimum.
