Broken pins on Mini DV Camcorder. Am i screwed?

Question

I am pretty sure but not 100% sure that i have broken the pins on my mini dvd canon camcoder. There the pins that you slot the usb cable into to upload tapes, so i can still record just not upload them. Which majorly sucks.

Is there anything i can do?

um well if i were you i would open it up and replace the usb with the broken pins will a female on and connect the wires to a new on from the old one

[]   -----   <so unhook the wires and get rid of the usb not the wire though

than get a new female usb not male and reconnect the wires

Maybe not - if it's the USB slot, you can (and should) capture the video via firewire.  Anything on a memory card can be transferred with a card reader.
