Hi everyone,

I have a Ka, it was made in 2004, and the speaker on the right hand side is not working. Does anyone know how much roughly it woudl cost to fix it please? The speaker on the left works, but it would be nice if I could get both working. I am from the Uk. Thanks everyone. x*x

  1. My daughter had this problem, with her right speaker.  We bought the one right speaker off eBay for £12 and the local ford garage fixed it for her for nothing, it took them about 10 minutes.  If you go to your local ford garage they will charge you a fortune.  Try to buy the speaker independently and pop it in to them, or even to your local garage, it is a case of just putting some wires in apparently, which is why they did it for free.

    Good luck.

    :o)

  2. The loudspeaker does not technically have to be a Ford one, any will do. There will be two wires at the back of it that enter from behind, at the back of the speaker drum.

You just have to connect the new speaker(s) to these two positive and negative feed cables, they will usually come directly from the Car's stereo.

    Price : £20 average.

  3. To be honest the srap yard is the cheapest.

They're about a fiver, and aybe a little more for fitting, although, if your a girl, im sure you could be really nice and get the big lad to do it for you! - just smile and be nice!
