Broken tv help?

Question

I have a Vizio HDTV and i was manuevering my guitar heroe guitar and it hit the screen of the tv.

Now when you turn the tv on, the picture is just white and there are a bunch of different colored lines on the screen.

Im assuming that it is broken but is there a way this can be repaired/fixed.

I would hate to have to give up this tv because its my baby. lol

throw it out and buy a new one..

Not worth fixin and besides nobody seems to know

how to repair anything nowadays

Depends on how honest you are, where you got it from and when but there is a little known piece of UK consumer law that states that an electrical item (such as TV, stereo etc) should perform adequately for 7 years. If it does not, you can go back to the retailer and it is their responsibility to either pay for the repair or replace the unit. I only know this because a friend of mine took a 4 year old TV back to Dixons, explained this and they paid for a repairman to visit and then for a new telly because it was not repairable.

If you try this though, I wouldn't admit the "Guitar Hero" bit!
