A three-year old got their bottom eye lid of the left eye cut by a hair brush. I think it's just a bruise, but it might be a vein or a blood vessel that was cut off by the 'prongs' of the brush, because there was a red string that was on the bottom eye lid. It kept getting stuck on their eyelashes, so they accidentally cut the red string off while trying to get the red string out of their eyes. In the morning, there was dried blood on their eyelashes. They report no significant pain, but it might be that during the night, fresh blood came out. Also, they can see as well as they did before this accident. The red string came from the inside of the bottom lid, I think.
The question is, do blood vessels and veins repair themselves? And in how many days? What do doctors usually do to fix such a dilemma?
