  1. Short answer: no.

The flying bases are great but, when they break, there's no way to fix them so that it isn't obvious what's been done - especially if they were glued with superglue in the first instance.

The best fix is to remove the stand altogether.  Then what you want to do is get hold of a tiny hand drill, a paper clip, a large (60mm) base, a piece from the Cities of Death terrain set and some sand and gravel.

Fix the piece of terrain to the base along with the sand and gravel (using some PVA glue for the sand).  Spray black and dry brush to look suitably urban or to match the rest of the bases in the army.  Then drill a hole into the terrain piece, near its highest point.  Cut off a piece of the paper clip about 8mm long (make sure it's nice and straight) and insert it into the hole in the terrain piece.  Now drill a hole in the Land Speeder and glue it onto the wire sticking out of the terrain.

Thus, your bro's LS is now diving dramatically across the table!

Alternatively (my wife says), put the model near the nearest family pet and then shout "No!  Bad dog/cat/goldfish!" and point accusingly...
