Question:

Broken washing machine-not quite sure what to do?

So this morning I went to use my washing machine and the water filled up to its normal height, but it didn't do anything else beyond that. the area around smelled like something was burning, but nothing seemed to be burning as far as I could see. I have a dehumidifier next to the washing machine and that wasn't working either. It isn't the water that's a problem, I know that for sure, but I really have no idea what to do.

  1. Smells like you burnt out your motor.

  2. If the dehumidifier isn't working either, maybe you have blown a fuse/popped a breaker. unplug the dehumidifier, and reset the breaker.  If it pops again, there is something wrong with your washer, you should probably call a repairman

  3. I agree with the Computer Guy .

    Check the fuse box.
