Brother Forcing Sister to Marry!?

There is this brother and sister that is in debt over $700K+ and they try to make you feel sorry for them.

My brother is dating this girl who is in severe debt. The brother of the girl, wants her to marry my brother because he thinks my brother can save them both out of their debt and misery like a salvation so to speak because he's got money.

Mind you my brother is NOT married or engaged to her.

The brother comes over to his sister's house and demands money and credit card up front from my brother on numerous occasion and the sister convinces my brother that they'll pay it back. I'm talking $10K or more for his "new" career,

What kind of brother and sister is this? What kind of brother would "force" his sister to marry for money so he could get some??

They are both born here in U.S.

  1. These people sound like con artists, no more, no less.

BUT, if your brother is caught in their clutches, it might take more than your word to get him loose.

Con artists operate by fooling people into trusting them and belkieving that they (the con artist) are the ones who *really* believe in the person.

This woman and her brother have probably persuaded your brother he is a very smart guy to believe in them, and if you are critical of them they will tell him it is because you are jealous or simply do not want him to succeed.

You could contact the local cops, and see if they are known criminals and alert the police to what is going on, but unless you have proof that they are doing wrong, it's unlikely the cops can do anything and doubtful if your brother will believe you.

However, you can tell your brother to call you if he needs to talk, and that you will always be there for him, even though you think it's best you don't hang around with him and his new friends. You could tell him the reason is you don't trust them, and leave it at that. He may still have enough family respect to think about why his loving sibling might feel that way.

And DO NOT under any circumstances let them anywhere near your money, or give your brother any money until he is free of them, because if they are con artists, they will suck him dry and try to persuade him to get money from others for them.

    Best wishes! :-)

  2. All I have to say is this. Your brother is an idiot and a pansy for letting someone demand his credit cards. It's not just that girls brother's fault. It's your brother's fault as well for being such a push over.

  3. I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about their motives. It's much more important that you set your brother straight about her.

  4. Simply because this guy demands money or credit cards does not mean your brother has to give it.   He needs to get away from that situation.

There is an old saying:  You don't throw good money after bad.

  5. Con artists-most likely they have done it to others.

Your brother sounds like he is intimidated by the other guy.  That plus the woman is probably brainwashing him.

  6. I would call them con artists and I would call your brother an idiot if he allows himself to be conned.

  7. And they're running a con on your brother together, from the sounds of it.

  8. thief's, con artists, criminals. I would suggest your brother dump the chick and call an attorney to sue them for what they borrowed.

  9. I don't know but he's a grownup and its none of your business anyway.

  10. We call them here in the US "trailer trash".
