ok, i have a vista computer, it was MY birthday present, and my brother sneaked into my computer and made his own account and basicly took it over (i told him NOT to), each time i ask for MY computer to use,he makes fun of me, he uses my computer till 5:00 am, he took over my computer so now he can make any kind of setting on there and also he can delete anybody' account and rearage other people's accounts, i have MY own account on my computer and it has a password to login it, he basicly RUINED my computer's coloring cause of his graphic chip so now its all blueish and i hate it, and my brother always some how knows my password, i over heard him saying he uses "documents" to find what my password is for my account, so he sneaks into my account and look at my personal stuff, he also looks at the internet history on my computer so he can see what i looked up.

he is driving me INSANE! its MY COMPUTER, and he gets to control what people can do on my computer! How does he hack my password to enter my account!? please help, how can i have my right to have my control back on the compouter?

how can i get him to stop hacking my password? please help! what should i do?

  1. Hopefully your account is an administrator account -- unless you brother locked you out of administrator privileges. In that case, hopefully you have the Administrator password.

The first thing you want to do is right click on "my Computer" and click "manage." (I don't have Vista, but hopefully this still works). Then click on "Users and groups". Click on "Users" and find you brothers account. Right click on his name and make sure he's not an administrator. Then you can check the box that says something like "Account is Locked"

(That will prevent him form logging in again.)

Now find YOUR account, and make sure you ARE an administrator. If you'r not sure how to do this, go back to "Users and Groups" click on "Groups" and find "Administrators" and add your account to the list.

    Then change your password.

  2. Tell your parents. Keep your laptop secure.

  3. I am sorry if this doesn't help, but personally this sounds like a parenting issue, not a computer one, your mum, dad, grandparents, legal guardians or whoever is responsible for your safety and welbeing need to speak to your brother and set rules that he will follow to respect you and your property.

  4. Perhaps setting up a BIOS password will help you banish him forever.

Herez how you can set it up :-
