the title says it all. my brother is 21, almost 22 years old. it takes me 3 weeks to make the money he makes in a week. he cashes his paychecks on Friday and its gone by Sunday. he is a drug addict. he is a compulsive liar. and nothing he can say can be trusted. and he is on the brink of being an alcoholic. i recently cashed one of my smaller paychecks so i could go out with my friends for a night. i took 15 bucks to have as spending money and left the rest with my (highly trusted) sister. i put the 15 dollars in my wallet and away i went. spent none of it because we ended up sitting around watching movies. i came home pretty late, and tossed my wallet on the counter and went to bed. i woke up at about 11 the next morning and came downstairs and was going to walk to subway for lunch. looked in there and discovered my brother had come and stolen my money. i was awake at about 7 when my parents left and it was still there. woke back up at 11 and it was gone.

bottom line. my parents dont expect me to get upset when he steals from me but when he steals from them they are furious. my question is, what can i do about this. granted it was only 15 bucks but when you only make about 80 dollars a week and are trying to save your money for important things (class ring, car, laptop, COLLEGE) its difficult to lose any of it and have nothing to show for it. so what should i do. chances are that the money probably was spent in the bar or on the street buying pot or something like that. and i just dont know what to do. im sick of him stealing from my parents, my sister, and myself. its frustrating.

  1. Hold his stuff hostage and send him a letter saying if you want your stuff back give me my MONEY!

  2. You can't just stand there and do nothing, if he see's that when he takes your money and you don't do anything back he will keep doing it cause it seems to him like you don't care.

    Go into his room

and take his things one by one

    until he notices

    and when he goes

" what are you doing with my stuff?!"

    just be like

" WHERE DID MY MONEY GO ?!"

    then you will see (:

and if he starts to lock his door

    haha theres always the

    toothpick trick

    or the knife trick

    to open the door

    (:

  3. Steal his stuff when hew takes yours and hold them for ransom

  4. Okay... you need to cash those checks because they are typically only good for 90 days, max.

Get a replacement doorknob with a keyed lock for both your closet and bedroom... and wear the keys around your neck. Your closet becomes a safe.

You could also get a good trunk with a keyed lock on it and store your goodies in that.

There is a fine art to hiding money. The first thing is to convince the thief that you have none.

  5. 1) Bank Account

    2) Lock Box

    3) Hide any information about 1 and 2
